The Ultrac Vorti R is Vredestein’s most sporty Ultra High Performance summer tyre to date. Compared to the Ultrac Vorti, the emphasis with the Ultrac Vorti R lies with ensuring grip and driving precision for the most powerful cars. The tyre maintains its traction at higher temperatures, including on bends, and is exceptionally stable at high speeds. It is therefore the ideal partner for four-wheel and rear-wheel drive sports cars that demand the most from their tyres.
The Ultrac Vorti R was developed in close cooperation with Italian design company Giugiaro, and the carbon accents on the sidewall and in the tread are a design feature unique to this tyre. It is available in several sizes that have been specifically optimised for the rear axle. They include an adjusted belt angle and an even lower air ratio, with an increased focus on maintaining grip on dry surfaces (as the front tyres discharge most of the water on wet roads).
(1) Compared with MICHELIN Pilot Sport PS2. Internal tests carried out in 2010.
(2) The best dry handling. Tests carried out in 2010 and in 2011 by TÜV Sud on tyre sizes 245/40ZR18Y & 255/35ZR19Y, compared to its main competitors (available on the European market at the time).
(3) The fastest lap time on a dry track. Tests carried out in 2010 by TÜV on tyre sizes 245/40ZR18Y & 235/35ZR19Y, compared to its 5 premium competitors (available on the market at the time).
(4) The world’s fastest cars are equipped with MICHELIN tyres. Bugatti Veyron and Shelby SuperCars exceeded a speed of 250 mph with MICHELIN Pilot Sport PS2.
This V-rated tire provides safe winter driving year after year with controlled power.
Equipped with an exclusive tread design and Stabiligrip, a 3D sipe technology, the new Michelin® Pilot® Alpin® PA4™ tire delivers a 10% improvement in snow acceleration and more than a 5% enhancement in handling on snow covered and icy roads.
The new formula of full silica-based rubber compound, Helio Compound+, allows the Michelin® Pilot® Alpin® PA4™ tire to remain flexible in low temperatures for better winter performance, stopping over 5% shorter on snow, ice and wet roads.
The new Michelin® Pilot® Alpin® PA4™ tire is approved by the high standards of Porsche SE and is currently being tested by many other high-performance vehicle manufacturers.
