The new Angel™ CiTy is directly derived from the well-known and test winner Angel™ GT.
Technology and tread pattern design have been reviewed and adapted to smaller displacement bikes, with a X-Ply construction and dedicated materials. The new tyre addresses the needs of sporty bikes up to 250cc, ‘underbones’ and other commuting bike. The robust tyre construction ensures high puncture resistance and performance consistency throughout the entire tyre life.
The benefits of Angel™ CiTy are clearly perceived in any riding condition, especially on uneven road. The tread pattern guarantees optimal wear and improves water evacuation. Angel CiTy features a new compound mainly based on carbon black with a calibrated percentage of silica; it is able to deliver excellent grip on both dry and wet, tear resistance and mileage.
The pattern of the front tire is to enhance cornering and handling. The central groove is for better draining and reducing the possibility of hydroplaning. The V-shaped lug will guide the water to the center and decrease the water splash. The main task of the rear tire is stability, comfort and longer endurance. The center rib will efficiently improve not only the comfort but also stable handling. Moreover, the wider TDW will effectively lengthen tire duration. The pattern on 2 wings will also increase the performance of cornering and water draining.
Front Tire: The camber angle of the front tire will be large due to cornering. Therefore, 40% of the cap tread at the shoulders, which is the contact patch on the ground while cornering, is made of the softer compound with better gripping. The central part of the tread is for straight riding. Harder rubber is used to enhance the endurance. Rear Tire: Although the camber is smaller on rear tire, the contact patch is wide due to the flatter profile. Therefore, better gripping compound is applied evenly on the both sides of the tread, respectively taking 40% of the cap. As for the rest 20% in the central part, harder rubber is to generate more power against the surface of roads.
JLSB (Jointless Space Belt) is put in use on Roadiac WF-1. Nankang applies “Single Steel Winding” technology on Roadiac. Comparing aramid or other fibers, steel belt could provide stronger stability, handling, stiffness, and temperature control. Roadiac is also less possible to be pierced and much safer.
The WF-2 is designed for high performance motorcycles with an improved contact patch and stiffer casing design to increase cornering stability and grip.
The V-shape pattern offers excellent rigidity at high speed even at high lean angles as well as improving wet grip. The wider shoulder grooves refine the performance in high lean angles, increasing the turn in abilities. The new semi-slick compound needs a shorter warm up time to allow maximum performance from the minute you set off.
The WF-2 utilizes a dual compound formula with the centre tread aimed at increasing stability, comfort and longevity whilst the shoulder is designed to offer ultimate grip and ride confidence.
The WF-2 has improved compound proportion to offer the maximum traction at all lean angles as well as an improved construction to ensure safety, stability and braking at all speeds. This new design redefines safety, stability, and braking abilities at all speeds, offering maximum confidence whilst riding.

Radial architecture gives incomparable stability and handleability. The sidewalls and tread are independent and therefore have specific characteristics: the sidewalls are flexible and offer greater comfort at high speed by cushioning road surface deformation. The tread, which is in contact with the ground, enables the tyre to grip the road. Its contact area is not as long as a bias tyre but wider and offers greater grip when cornering sharply on bends.
