Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

- I fitted the new Bridgestone Potenza Sport tyres mid April and with very low mileage on the road and less than 100 miles on track the tyres are done and worn out.. - fabrics showing&hellip;?! I did many track days previously with the S001 RFTs with no issues- Potenza Sport is simply not a tyre for track use - even for a lap or two&hellip;

I bought these tyres as they are the only ones on the market that claim to be specifically designed for electric vehicles and are carbon neutral in their manufacture. Lots of claims made by Michelin regarding low noise levels, grip, wear and increased range. I can confirm that the tyres live up to these claims in all respects. I have driven around 1200 miles in mixed road and weather conditions and have been very impressed. My eGolf was always a quiet car, but now it&rsquo;s almost silent with little or no road noise below 50mph. Braking and handling in wet or dry, good roads or bad, is exceptional. My average range previously was around 150 miles from a full charge, now it&rsquo;s 160 miles, remarkable. I absolutely recommend these tyres for electric vehicles.

Unlike some who write stuff thinking they&#39;re lewis hamilton, im not, but im no miss daisy either. Ive driven it pretty hard at times and whatever has been thrown at these tyres, wet or dry, they have stood up to it. Not a hint of losing it. These are the B-Silent Model and they were 235/55 R19 105Y but this system will not let me specify 55 height. These tyres are absolutely brilliant! I fitted them on the rear and they stopped the road noise from the rear completely. I just wish I had not fitted something different to the front previously, as soon as the fronts wear out I will change to these. I have had no problem with grip, despite racing others around roundabouts.

Smooth and absolutely lovely on snow, sensational grip. Great feel of safety on wet roads. Used to drive with Pirelli Sottozero 3 winter-tyres which are great too however these GoodYear UltraGrip Performance + winter-tyres are a new level of tyres.

I drive an automatic which is terrible for grip with only the slightest snowfall, and I&rsquo;m very cautious in sub zero icy weather. However with the UltraGrip Performance + tyres I was full of confidence every time I drove in sub zero weather conditions. Breaking distances were further than summer tyres, as expected, but nothing to worry about. Car performance was very good and fuel consumption while motorway cruising was better than summer tyres! There was no snowfall this year so I cannot comment.

I drive mostly in the city at low speeds however when taking to motorways in the UK I drive at 70MPH and in Europe at 75MPH. The drive is smooth and fuel economy is excellent, tyre wear is good and noise levels within the car is minimal.

Have tried lots of different snow tyres over years and put these on my 3 series touring to replace the Pirelli zero&rsquo;s. If anything I thought they ran quieter than the zero&rsquo;s and plenty of grip in both dry and wet conditions. Used the in snow as well and kept everything moving which is all you want from a snow tyre.

As my Volvo is a rear wheel drive automatic I always use winter tyres. Previously had Goodyear ultra grip 9 and still have them on the front. New Goodyear ultra grip 3 on rear. We&#39;re great in the recent snow, where front wheel drives were getting stuck, no doubt on summer tyres.

Excellent driving experience on these tyres. They feel safe, sturdy and solid on the road in heat, heavy rain, slippery roads due to mud, country roads, uneven and good surfaces, I have not yet tried in snow or ice. To any walkers reading this, they feel like vibram soles for my car!

These very big tyres are no good for my BMW X5 with r20. In wet conditions it is horrible (we get a lot of water in the rainy season), especially on Mexican roads. Makes my car feel very unstable , lots of aquaplaning since new . I have been driving these tyres for one and a half years and wanted to change them since the beginning. Worst tyres I have ever tried in more than 30 years of driving experience. After 27 thousand long distance km they are completely gone, no thread wear left at all. I am not a sporty driver! Changed tyres (Michelin) and now my X5 seems like another car. Should have listened to myself a long time ago. Will never try this brand again. Prefer to spend the money!!

Overall good tyres, sidewall is a bit too flexy and it gives very vague steering feel. The rubber is resistant to wear and can handle repeated hot laps up to 5-10 then they start to lose grip. Quite fun tyre and very safe for normal road driving.

Compared with my previous Michelins, and the Pirelli summer tyres, these disappoint. No confidence in the snow and they felt unnatached in the wet.

I would like to say that these tyres saved our bacon this winter. We had lots of snow and ice over January and February this year and the tyres never lost an ounce of grip. Even when others were stuck and lost in snow drifts, the Scout got through. I was concerned about the wear of the tyres (bring softer than summet tyres but there was little wear showing on the Winter Tyres). Highly recommended for high speed road driving or off-road snowdrifts!

- I fitted the new Bridgestone Potenza Sport tyres mid April and with very low mileage on the road and less than 100 miles on track the tyres are done and worn out.. - fabrics showing&hellip;?! I did many track days previously with the S001 RFTs with no issues- Potenza Sport is simply not a tyre for track use - even for a lap or two&hellip;
