Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

/
SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.

Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.

Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!

Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.

Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.

Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Tyres optimised for electric vehicles.
Tyre developed for electric vehicles. These tyres can also be used without hesitation on vehicles with other drive systems.

Original equipment quality: optimum adjustment to the vehicle
Tyres with a special OEM marking on the sidewall, e.g. "MO" for Mercedes-Benz, were developed in cooperation with a specific car manufacturer and the tyre industry. These tyres have been homologated by the vehicle manufacturer and are a perfect match for a specific model. They have been specially designed to highlight or further improve the performance characteristics of the car in question, thus representing the culmination of a state-of-the-art fine-tuning process that perfectly complements the latest technological developments in the automotive industry. Tyres with manufacturer's markings can of course also be used on other vehicles.

08.08.2023 from Gavin Burrows
These tyres are awful in even the slightest damp conditions. They skid at slow speed and drift at slow speed. So surprised they made it to market. Only used for 6months and replacing them already. Scary!
05.04.2023 from Ed
Awful in wet weather. Spins up when accelerating slowly. Very dangerous coming out of junctions. Do not recommend
16.02.2023 from John
These tyres are a death trap. I had 2 on the front first. The car was suddenly terrible to drive. I had the rear two done with the same tyres thinking this was the issue. What a mistake . The car now resembled driving on sheet ice. I had the steering examined and tracking done thinking it couldn't possibly be brand new tyres. After having numerous horrendous driving experiences I've now replaced the tyres and the car is now a pleasure to drive. I really don't know how these tyres have made it onto the market. PLEASE AVOID if you value your safety.
28.11.2022 from Toby Wood
These tyres are DANGEROUS. In dry conditions they just about held on, but sometimes understeered on sharp corners, however in wet conditions you might as well be ice skating. I had two separate accidents because of these tyres, once on a shady damp patch and once in the rain on the motorway. I bought these tyres because they were cheap, now they’ve cost me an insurance claim and over £2000 in repairs. I only wish after the first more minor accident I’d realised what caused it (this was shortly after I’d bought them), and changed to something actually good. Do not cheap out on these, they are horrendous.

15.09.2025 from Harry Up
Gute Reifen, siehe meine Sternebewertung.
02.01.2023 from Ion
I have already 12000 km with this tires and the feeling is very good, even drove with 130 on highway on light rain without any problems, drove on ice roads and it was ok. I gave 4 stars on the show grip because I did not test them yet on show... but overall are very good!

05.02.2025 from Naveed Anwar
It slips on roundabout, and slipped in snow and wet. I would never buy this tyre. It was a mistake.
16.01.2022 from Adam h
Very bad grip on wet roads, car keeps understeering even going at low speeds. Will not buy again.
04.07.2020 from Stewart Dalzell
Only had these on 2 days but seem very very good considering the price point, on greasy wet summer roads etc, the are very linear and let you know when they are going to lose grip although seem very grippy considering the C wet rating, with a finger nail to the rubber it is quite soft therefore I don't expect a lot of mileage out them. I only use the van as a basic camper or for mountain biking, so we'll see what the winter performance is like and once there is more wear on there. In conclusion, if you need a cheap quick fix for an all season tyre that won't lead you into a ditch straight away then I'd say give them a go. :)

24.10.2019 from Zac
For the price, no complaints. Be hard pushed to tell them from more expensive mid range tyres under normal driving conditions
31.05.2019 from Karl Grimsey
I have been buying Nankang tyres for all the cars in the family (5) for over 10 years. They are as good as any top brand tyre and normally half the price They perform just as well and last just as long. My collegue always buys top brands tyres yet he does not get any more mileage out of his. I have a selection of family car, SUV and saloons. These tyres perform perfectly well on all types of car. I will continue to by NanKang because they work and are very well priced
20.04.2019 from Richard Taylor
Excellent non run flat option for BMWs. Superior wet and cold weather grip compared to the standard fit of continental ssr3 runflats. SSR3s are fantastic in dry but deadly in cold and wet. Nankangs outperform in all areas only matched by the grip. I have used Nankangs for 20 years.
