Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

When I purchased my vehicle (preowned) it came with Nexen tyres on all four corners. I had to change the two front tyres after a few years and choose Goodyears. Last year I had to change the front tyres again because the Goodyears had worn considerably, whilst still having the same Nexens on the rear of the car since I purchased it. Hence stick with the Nexens. When I need to change the rear tyres I will definitely choose Nexens.

I was not sure about purchasing these tyres at 1st, but I&#39;m pleased I gave them a go as they have performed brilliantly, Even tyre wear all the way around, kept good shape and performed very well.

Fairly good on dry roads, let you know in advance when you are pushing near its limits (they &ldquo;scream&rdquo; loud and clear); the braking is pretty good also On wet roads they are a pain in the butt: lots of wheel spinning (yes, in a Sharan!! Looks like a fwd sports car) whenever you want to put the car in motion, loads of &ldquo;fun&rdquo; on the curves and aquaplanning guaranteed. After using Michelin tires for the past 20 years model PS4, ENGERY SAVER, the cross climates on this vito crew sport, the tire life has being shocking, 8,000 miles and there so expensive 1k a set, so decided to give the Goodyear&#39;s ago, I&#39;m was shocked at how well these are performing, the ride is so much better, the Michelins have straight side walls, which ride very hard, you feel every bump..... Goodyear&#39;s ride comfort, life and grip has been amazing I&#39;ve done 17,000 miles and there is still life on the rear tires, id say there will do 22,000, and an set of these is 600 quid.... see you later Michelin, all my vans and cars are going Goodyears.....

This is the second time I have bought a full set of these tyres. I mostly drive on motorways, country roads and off road. My fuel efficiency went up when I put on my first set. The ride is more comfortable and the grip is excellent in dry and wet weather. They have performed well on snow. Despite being all weather the rate of wear is very good. I would definitely buy them again.

My tyre size was 205 55 16 but not in the list! Unbelieveble in wet surface but average on dry breaking. Good aquaplanning and snow traction. Good comfort but average noise.

I have been buying Nankang tyres for all the cars in the family (5) for over 10 years. They are as good as any top brand tyre and normally half the price They perform just as well and last just as long. My collegue always buys top brands tyres yet he does not get any more mileage out of his. I have a selection of family car, SUV and saloons. These tyres perform perfectly well on all types of car. I will continue to by NanKang because they work and are very well priced

Excellent non run flat option for BMWs. Superior wet and cold weather grip compared to the standard fit of continental ssr3 runflats. SSR3s are fantastic in dry but deadly in cold and wet. Nankangs outperform in all areas only matched by the grip. I have used Nankangs for 20 years.

so after 14 months/25166 km of driving these tyres are down to 3 or 4mm on the front and 5.5 mm on the back. I&#39;ve never had any need to brake hard in the wet but i have corned sharply at 90 km/hr using these tyres and they do hold the road well. I know i should rotate these but its hard to get time for everything. They are very good value but maybe a bit noisy on the road. I bought 4 together and at &euro;120 each when you compare to michelin pilot sport is really great value for money. They are wearing fairly evenly too so overall the verdict is i would highly recommend these.

I am a High mileage driver covering all roads day and night. This is a premium summer tyre made for dry grip and wet braking. Out of a budget , midrange and premium I&rsquo;ve noted , the cheapest gives me around 6000 miles. The mid ranges cover around 12000 miles and premiums last around 18000 miles. In terms of grip it always has to be premium. These are also much quieter than budget tyres. I&rsquo;ve covered 25000 miles of hard driving with these tyres and they still have around 3mm left. This is the second summer I&rsquo;ve purchased these tyres. Good on price as well as grip
