Compared to winter tyres, the rubber mixture of the summer tyres is harder, even in high temperatures. Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Tyres with a special OEM marking on the sidewall, e.g. "MO" for Mercedes-Benz, were developed in cooperation with a specific car manufacturer and the tyre industry. These tyres have been homologated by the vehicle manufacturer and are a perfect match for a specific model. They have been specially designed to highlight or further improve the performance characteristics of the car in question, thus representing the culmination of a state-of-the-art fine-tuning process that perfectly complements the latest technological developments in the automotive industry. Tyres with manufacturer's markings can of course also be used on other vehicles.

Driving within my own ability and the ability of the vehicle I choose to drive is what I do. The tyres on my car are part of the interface between driver and road. I prefer to drive with the tyres fully inflated in order to feel the feedback from the surface of the road through noise, suspension and steering, I ballance throttle and brake response with weather conditions, road conditions and temperature. Tyres with less grip just dictate that I should moderate speed and braking at an increased rate. Noisey tyres provide slightly better feedback than silent tyres. The road with current traffic congestion burden isnt the place for performance spirited driving but is the place where defensive driving must be used. I would describe my tyres as competent.

I am a High mileage driver covering all roads day and night. This is a premium summer tyre made for dry grip and wet braking. Out of a budget , midrange and premium I&rsquo;ve noted , the cheapest gives me around 6000 miles. The mid ranges cover around 12000 miles and premiums last around 18000 miles. In terms of grip it always has to be premium. These are also much quieter than budget tyres. I&rsquo;ve covered 25000 miles of hard driving with these tyres and they still have around 3mm left. This is the second summer I&rsquo;ve purchased these tyres. Good on price as well as grip

I changed from ditch finders to these so is a great improvement but these saved my family&#39;s life&#39;s literally my brakes failed and tyres kept us on the rd when needed apart from that they take the bumps in the rd ok amazing grip in the wet . I can&#39;t really comment on wear as it&#39;s too early. Recommended

B road driving with the odd motorway and A road. Excellent grip in all conditions, I bought these over pilot sports as I wanted to use them all year round. As long as the temp is above 6 degrees they are fine to push anything below that proceed with caution but they are certainly not ditch finders. I will be doing track on them aswell mainly due to changeable uk weather these are the perfect tyres to drive to track in with confidence.

I find the tyres to have outstanding grip once the tyres are warm, comfort is far better than any other tyre i&#39;ve used, these are the 2 most important aspecs for me, as my driving style is quite enthusiastic, and being a fast rear wheel drive car, the last thing I need is the traction control light lighting up every 5 sec&#39;s, but when these tyres get warm I rarely see it. I&#39;m so impressed with them that I bought another set for my other wheels, they&#39;re the best tyre I&#39;ve ever fitted

On wet roads, the cornering capability is reduced compared to Bridgestones, however these tyres cost 30% less. All in all, for mixed driving, it&rsquo;s a great all rounder, especially since it&rsquo;s very reasonably priced. A decent everyday tyre. We&rsquo;ll see how long it lasts, but seems promising, so far. Noise level is quite low too.

All I can say is that theses tyres are excellent value for money. It&#39;s like driving a new car again, the tyres feel responsive, grippy and not a lot of road noise which is a bug bare of mine with lots of tyres. I&#39;ve only done just over 5000 miles on them but they still look brand new so hoping the wear rate is good. But to be honest they cost less than &pound;50 a tyre fitted ( all 4 changed at same time) . So they don&#39;t need to last forever.

These were one of the worst tyres we have ever fitted. Exactly the same as previous tyres which came from manufacturer for vehicle. They wouldn&#39;t fit, had to massively overinflat to get them to grip the rim. Awful experience.

I found thes tyres to be excellent when dealing with standing water as they have deep and wide grooves. But big grooves mean less rubber on the road and that means that they wear out quicker. The rubber is softer than the Dunlops I had before. For cornering and braking in the wet they are excellent. A fairly quiet tyre. My driving style is mixed and I sometimes drift swiftly on winding twisting roads. On the motorways I cruise along at 70mph / 110kmph. I don&#39;t brake harshly but when I have to, the tyres are really good.

I&#39;ve allways had bridgestone tyres on my bmw but after hitting non stop pot holes and damaging them I decided to opt for budget what can I say other than these tyres are excellent . super smooth and grippy noise level has 80% improved over my bridgestones and there that cheap I&#39;m not bothered if there get damaged with the pot holes these tyres live up to any top brand name I&#39;ll be buying them again that&#39;s for sure

I bought these tyre in haste. I was on the M6 Motorway in the midlands, England. There was a 50mph speed restriction owing to the endless roadworks. I hit a really rough patch of road and the tyre vibration and loss of control was scary. Having arrived at my destination I ordered four Nereus N601 tyres online from ctyres-online via Ebay UK. As soon as I had paid, I was starting to have reservations. I couldn&#39;t find any reference to this maker. I eventually found out that the are the exact same tyre as the well-regarded &#39;Firemax&#39; brand. They were on the delivery van early the next day (I ordered them late Friday evening. Amazingly they arrived 10 (ten) hours later. A truly great service from ctryres-online. This is also their Ebay seller-name btw. I fit them myself and had them all balanced at Burnley Tyre &amp; Battery. A great company if you are ever in the East Lancashire area. Since then I have noted the following qualities: Tyre Noise: is notably an improvement over my last tyres (Toyo Nano). No &#39;roar&#39; to be heard on the concrete road surfaces that are common around the Stoke on Trent area. Wet weather: handling and stopping are excellent. I lent my car out to a friend who drives in hill climbing events at a semi-pro level. He happily drove around most of England - 1800 miles in early February delivering essential medication during the 2021 Covid epidemic. He spotted the tyre make after eight days and is now sold on the Nereus tyre brand. He is obviously a far better driver than myself, so I trust his judgement. Dry weather: is also remarkably good. They feel very safe and the &#39;wander&#39; that the &#39;Toyo&#39; tyres had is now completely cured. Fuel Consumption: Not absolutely sure, but my fuel log (I am a very boring person-approaching a boring person score that rivals snooker ace Steve Davis) shows a one mpg improvement over the outgoing tyres. Handling: in all circumstances seems to be very good. Street Cred: is obviously zero, but who cares about what other people think? I used to sell used hot-hatch-type cars in the nineties. Not one buyer noticed or remarked on tyre make or even if they had a mix of different brands on the same car. Maybe, with the advent of the internet, it may be a different tale... To conclude, these tyres are around a 90% cash saving over the well known branded tyres. They are a safe tyre with seemingly good wear/handling/grip characteristics. Another point. if you don&#39;t like spending money on tyre fitting/balancing is to do as I have and invest in tyre fitting/balancing equipment. It is an easy DIY task and you should recoup after around two or three complete tyre changes. I also do my own wheel-alignment too. Buy decent quality used stuff and you should be able to do so for a few &pound;100s.
