01.11.2021 from Jeremy Nicholls
This is the Volvo recommended tyre on this wheel for this car; generally very happy after Goodyear’s on previous non sporting V70s.
01.11.2020 from Stewart Blake LEISHMAN
This is the second set of the same tyres, and yes they hold the road well. When you have 20 something inch of rubber on the road they can really hold there own. The Which magazine holds Bridgestone to high esteem.
13.10.2020 from Bowber
Great tyres, good grip especially in wet, feel safe! Noise isn’t too crazy, hopefully get some decent mileage out of them
11.07.2020 from Pat
Much better in the wet than Dunlop tyres that were on the car.

16.07.2019 from Moyo Ford
It has been a pleasant experience so far
04.05.2019 from Jay
Really nice tyre, giving a comfortable ride, also has good grip and responsive when driving more actively.
10.12.2018 from Nick Skew
When I purchased the car in July 2017 it was fitted with Hankook tyres and they performed well. Previously I had a 2015 TT and for that I purchased a space saver wheel which I transferred to the TTS. I then discovered it wouldn't fit on the front wheels of the TTS because of the larger brake callipers. So I then had a dilemma as I don't trust the inflation kits supplied with the car. I therefore went for run flat tyres and the Goodyear F1 Eagles looked a good option (but not cheap!). When the tyres were delivered to Boxley tyres (excellent) they advised that they wouldn't have ordered run flats for a car like the TTS as they have stiffer side walls. However, to be honest, I haven't noticed any difference and I can drive with confidence that worst case I can carry on for 50 miles with a flat tyre and have the space saver if necessary which in the event of a rear puncture I can fit or in the case of a front puncture swap a rear wheel to the front. I have driven through some horrendous rain recently and the grip has been good. This car being quattro you don't slow down for puddles!

10.01.2020 from BigSwede
The best road tyres I have used. Dry grip -awesome, wet grip - awesome feel/feedback - superb. They make the MPSS look silly, especially in adverse conditions. Can't recommend them highly enough!!
23.11.2019 from Neil McSwede
These are the best UHP rated tyre available IMO. I've used Michelin Pilot Super Sport and Pilot Sport 4 on my M140i and these Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Sport tyres have the beating of them. Fantastic front end grip, progressive rear at limit of adhesion. In the dry the are superb but in the wet they are pretty incredible. Very confidence inspiring meaning you can really push on where with other tyres of this type you'd be backing off. Can't recommend them highly enough!

Excellent driving experience on these tyres. They feel safe, sturdy and solid on the road in heat, heavy rain, slippery roads due to mud, country roads, uneven and good surfaces, I have not yet tried in snow or ice. To any walkers reading this, they feel like vibram soles for my car!
07.08.2024 from peter andrews
tyres only have well below normal 6.5mm tread from new and mine were worn down to 4.1 mm tread after 400 miles plus one developed a bulge. Worst tyres ever only have perhaps 1 years life

These tyres are good for grip and average for comfort, but let down on noise levels.

27.09.2015 from Glenn
By the far the best tyre I've ever had on any car. The grip, particularly in the dry, is outstanding- endless grip really. It gives you such a responsive turn-in, and then the confidence and ability to push for the limit...which you may or may not eventually find. Very safe in the wet too and comfort and noise is excellent. Wear seems reasonable as well. I can't recommend them highly enough. Will only ever be purchasing these again, unless Michelin develop an even better tyre..
17.09.2015 from Gordon
I bought these tyres to improve Grip on the previous Dunlops and they have been very good. The wet grip is significantly improved and am very happy with them. They are a bit noisier but ride quality is unchanged. They perform very well under all conditions but can still break away in the wet, but with 510bhp not surprising! They are a big step up in performance from the Dunlops and the Pirelli P0s I have used before. Highly recommend them!
12.09.2015 from Chris UK
Great tyre for performance cars!!
31.10.2014 from david duro
They are very good. I usually run Bridgestone pzeros.. But feel after driving in them these are better.

09.02.2023 from Ian Broad
The tyres are Porsche recommended for my car, so it was best to fit the correct tyre, as it would have had at factory. My car had covered only 6900 miles when I purchased it. The original tyres were on the car.
30.09.2015 from John ashton
Really good gripping tyre well worth the extra pennies :)
09.08.2014 from AndyH
Always a good idea to but the best tyres you can and these are great. Only downside is road noise which can get irritating at times
24.05.2013 from Roddie
Much more traction offered from these tyres than previous 255/40 R18 Michelin Pilot Sport 2 or the Pilot Sport 1. No feeling of poorer ride quality despite lower profile. An unexpected big jump in overall performance and the traction control light barely appears at all now- compared to all the time out of junctions with sharp left turns. Must be better compound and/or tyre carcass construction.

09.05.2014 from Gerry
I don't drive the car hard but even so these tyres have lasted a long time with even wear and still at least 4mm left after 15k. I would prefer more comfort but this is probably due to the 18 inch wheels and not the tyres. They do tramline a bit but I cannot compare to any other brand.
30.11.2011 from Keith Farrow
capable, but for the price there are far better tyres out there. Had PS2's and Conti's before, both gave much sharper handling. The P Zeros seem to wander, and tramline a lot.

25.09.2010 from Alex315
First 15.000 kms tyre is fine, good grip on dry, very good comfort. grip in snow is worthless. braking in wet conditions deteriorates fast after 15.000 kms. at 30.000 kms (and this is for the second time) all 4 tyres (I have FWD, and did not swap front/after) are deformed. driving between 90kmh and 140kmh gives knocking sound. Drinving 105-110kmh makes car shake. Pirelli already changed me 4 tyres and I got 2 for free because of this problem. Now I'm 32.000kms futher and it's the same problem all over again. I am not a sporty driver, and it's too bad I did not know this site earlier. I would never hace let pirelli put me 4 new tyres. Even at 2 for free it's expensive per km.

225 40 R18 Summer Tyres With Precise Steering Performance

Sports cars are designed to provide precise and dynamic steering performance. With the 225 40 R18 summer tyres this driving behaviour is supported, with which the manoeuvrability of the vehicle can be in the border area. The tyre's cornering grip is increased when speed is beyond 155 mph in dry and wet road conditions. For this reason, the purchase decision for the 225 40 R18 summer tyre is flexible as many models meet the high demands. However, the price should play a minor role in the choice of tyre profile.

Unprecedented Stability

Vehicles with a powerful engine such as Audi S3 or BMW 130i meet the right preference with 225 40 R18 as a summer tyre. The 18-inch wheels ensure short braking distances, which gives the car stability when starting off as well as accelerating out of the corners. Due to the broad and strong profile, your driving pleasure knows no boundaries. With the right tyre temperature, it feels as if the vehicle is moving on rails. Because it is a very popular tyre model for sports cars, consumers will find a very diverse range.

Run-flat Tyres

As with most tyres, the consumer can also choose between different speed categories for the 225 40 R18, depending on the maximum speed that makes sense for the driver. The decision for a model of a particular manufacturer depends heavily on personal preferences. There are models of tyres in speed categories from 105 to 186 mph. If comfort is more important to you, choose between variations with lower noise level or high fuel-efficiency.

The 225 40 R18 are also available as Run-flat summer tyres. These models have a self-supporting function and make it possible to continue driving for a short time even after a puncture. So you have the chance to reach the next garage before towing high costs arise.

Regardless of whether it is a 225 40 R18 or another model, Tirendo.co.uk offers a comprehensive range of all brands and profiles. We list numerous tyres and products such as alloy or steel rims.
