Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

just after 7months of normal use you see what happened in the photo below. The Continental in greece refused to renew it so i have to pay 160 euros to put a new one. NEVER continental tires again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great tyres , good all round grip, as I live in Scotland the seasons change every 5mins, with plenty of rain &amp; the odd bit of snow , I do some off road driving and never got the car stuck, I do run this type of tyre all year round , but as the car is quite light I always change my tyres when they get down to 3mm , I think this is far safer ,

The tyres perform unbelievably well. Braking and grip in the wet is just phenomenal. Outstanding performance. Superb and consistent grip in heavy persistent rain along French motorway to the UK, long and short journeys.

I went for the BMW approved (star marked) Blizzak and I&rsquo;m very happy with the tyres. I&rsquo;ve had Conti Winter Contact on previous cars and in regular use I would say the Blizzak is very comparable. The car retains decent steering feel and traction on wet and dry roads plus offers a far greater level of grip on snow/slush over a regular tyre. Ride comfort seems pretty much unchanged, as always with winters there is a little more noise but it&rsquo;s slight and after 5 minutes you don&rsquo;t notice! Fuel consumption does increase very slightly over the summer tyres BUT that could be down to the cold weather as much as the tyres!

I bought these so that I wouldn&#39;t have any mishaps during the winter in my beloved car. I was worried that it would be a nightmare to drive in the snow due to being rear wheel drive and its power. I put these tyres on the front and different winter tyres on the rear and never had any problems at all - very surprised and impressed!

Work really will in 150m of snow and they are really quite for winter tyres even on the motorway at 70 MPH would recommend these tyres even on ice they work will that much when you get out of car in car park covered in ice you slip because you don&#39;t realise its that bad with ice

The tyres lasted about 3 weeks before one had a blow out the side wall of the tyre went on a motorway nearly caused an accident we were towed to a fast fit centre so they fitted 2 new tyres to replace the ones from mytyres I tried contacting the supplier had no answer from my email and the phone put on to a very unhelpful gentleman who took no notice of any thing I said. So I would say DON&rsquo;T buy tyres on line go to a fast fit that way if something goes wrong you can claim.

The tyres are Porsche recommended for my car, so it was best to fit the correct tyre, as it would have had at factory. My car had covered only 6900 miles when I purchased it. The original tyres were on the car.

Much more traction offered from these tyres than previous 255/40 R18 Michelin Pilot Sport 2 or the Pilot Sport 1. No feeling of poorer ride quality despite lower profile. An unexpected big jump in overall performance and the traction control light barely appears at all now- compared to all the time out of junctions with sharp left turns. Must be better compound and/or tyre carcass construction.

This is a benign tyre. It resists aquaplaning. It gives plenty of warning before it lets go. I don't drive fast - so press-on drivers may not like it; but I cannot fault it. I do switch to winter tyres, for three months of the year. (Scotland).

Purchased these tyres for my Citroen C6 - a relatively rare car. The great thing about a C6 is that it is very refined comfortable and quiet. The previous budget Nankang tyres were terrible - much too noisy. These are superb and ideally matched to the Citroens charachteristics. I have maked grip handling etc as 5 stars because I have no evidence that they are not, but I do not drive this car like a teenage lunatic.

First thing to say is I have MO&#39;s fitted. Tried these on my Stage 3 TT RS - some commuting some shall we say v.spirited driving, grip is excellent, wet &amp; dry but of course the awd helps , as good as others I&#39;ve tried. what is surprising to me is the wear rate they are great, i&#39;m not expecting zillions of miles but to compare I have a mondeo diesel with Michelins doing same commute and only about 20% tops better. Car&#39;s a bit noisy so can&#39;t comment about road noise but again no more/less noisy than other premiums.

This is a SNOW tire I don&#39;t plan on doing track days with it.. NO it is not as good as my Summer tires in the Dry or Wet it is not made for this it&#39;s a SNOW tire give it some slush, Snow, Mild Ice and they are Great. Yup they make some noise thats expected. The trade off I think is fair though they have put a pretty good dent in my fuel milage guess that is the price you have to pay for safety.

To be honest I have not had a chance to use these tyres because mytyres.co.uk took about two months to delver them to my home in the UK so I had to buy some other tyres from my local garage for my MOT. The tyres look fine to me but they are still sat in their packaging unused. mytyres.co.uk however wasted my time and money with multiple phone calls to couriers, their office, and a lot of misinformation and incorrect details from them about what was going on, so I won&#39;t be using them again. I was actually shocked at how bad their service was.

Smooth and absolutely lovely on snow, sensational grip. Great feel of safety on wet roads. Used to drive with Pirelli Sottozero 3 winter-tyres which are great too however these GoodYear UltraGrip Performance + winter-tyres are a new level of tyres.

I drive an automatic which is terrible for grip with only the slightest snowfall, and I&rsquo;m very cautious in sub zero icy weather. However with the UltraGrip Performance + tyres I was full of confidence every time I drove in sub zero weather conditions. Breaking distances were further than summer tyres, as expected, but nothing to worry about. Car performance was very good and fuel consumption while motorway cruising was better than summer tyres! There was no snowfall this year so I cannot comment.

Smooth and absolutely lovely on snow, sensational grip. Great feel of safety on wet roads. Used to drive with Pirelli Sottozero 3 winter-tyres which are great too however these GoodYear UltraGrip Performance + winter-tyres are a new level of tyres.

I drive an automatic which is terrible for grip with only the slightest snowfall, and I&rsquo;m very cautious in sub zero icy weather. However with the UltraGrip Performance + tyres I was full of confidence every time I drove in sub zero weather conditions. Breaking distances were further than summer tyres, as expected, but nothing to worry about. Car performance was very good and fuel consumption while motorway cruising was better than summer tyres! There was no snowfall this year so I cannot comment.

The tyres lasted about 3 weeks before one had a blow out the side wall of the tyre went on a motorway nearly caused an accident we were towed to a fast fit centre so they fitted 2 new tyres to replace the ones from mytyres I tried contacting the supplier had no answer from my email and the phone put on to a very unhelpful gentleman who took no notice of any thing I said. So I would say DON&rsquo;T buy tyres on line go to a fast fit that way if something goes wrong you can claim.
