Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

These tyres are outstanding. The car is a 25th Anniversary GTI with a ported and polished cylinder head and fitted with SACHS Race Engineering coilovers. I require tyres with the highest possible grip, in both wet and dry conditions. For this reason I only fit AUDI AO specification tyres as this specification was developed for the maximum grip on the high performance fwd Audi TT. Which uses the same platform as the MkIV Golf.

Wet grip is of great importance, and these tyres are actually AO, which I always purchase, as I understand that grip was paramount in AUDIs requirements. Car had 20&quot; 245/35r20 runflats in front and 275/30r20 runflats (all MOE) for RWD w213 luxury saloon. The car came with these factory fitted MOE runflat tyres. I&#39;ve Replaced these tyres and wheels at 10600km. I&#39;ve driven 8600km of that mileage. The tyres wore like rubber bands on the 20&quot; wheels. Steering as a result is very precise in both wet and dry. Front 245/30s have sound deadening foam and overall tyre noise is quiet in the cabin (but just wee bit louder than the 18&quot; PS4 tyres I replaced them with). Ride comfort is 8/10 on highways due to air suspension. On chip seal, speed humps, potholed roads ride comfort is 5/10 - there is very abrupt jarring transmitted to cabin due to tyre profile and rims. Wet grip in cold (5&#39;C) and damp country highways was 7/10 at 110km/h speeds - there was some slip noticeable. Dry grip was 8/10 most of the time but with occasional rear traction slips at highway speeds in curves. This combination of tyres and rims is quite poor for a luxury sedan and compliant rides.

Though I&#39;d give these Davanti tyres a go as I&#39;ve seen a few Davanti dealers popping up all over the place. These tyres are reasonably good in snow and ice but the rest of the year it &quot;feels&quot; like you&#39;re driving on snow and ice. Very wayward and &quot;loose&quot; feel to them and a horrible bounce over 50mph like they aren&#39;t round anymore, not a wheel balance wobble but a up and down bounce which is very tiresome on longer journeys. There&#39;s a noticeable hum from the tyres like old fashioned aggressive winter tyres which changes pitch depending on angle of steering. I am a loyal supporter of winter tyres but these are like torture and not worth the grief in my opinion.

Unlike some who write stuff thinking they&#39;re lewis hamilton, im not, but im no miss daisy either. Ive driven it pretty hard at times and whatever has been thrown at these tyres, wet or dry, they have stood up to it. Not a hint of losing it. Exactly what you expect, from mid range premium make tyres.

These are the B-Silent Model and they were 235/55 R19 105Y but this system will not let me specify 55 height. These tyres are absolutely brilliant! I fitted them on the rear and they stopped the road noise from the rear completely. I just wish I had not fitted something different to the front previously, as soon as the fronts wear out I will change to these. I have had no problem with grip, despite racing others around roundabouts.

Just avoid, unless you live in Finland or something. Driving in WET and Dry, just terrible grip and I have a 4x4 Subaru with LSD. It&#39;s shocking really. Unless you drive really slow, it&#39;s OK then, but come roundabout they just don&#39;t grip doesn&#39;t matter wet or dry. Good in snow, but it should be at least good in wet as well and OK in dry, but It&#39;s crap in both wet and dry, so not good for me, will not buy again.

I didn&#39;t get these on until Feb/Mar when worst of the weather had passed. Driven on main roads &amp; motorways at temps between 3&deg;c and 16&deg;c in mixed weather without problems. Obviously they were less responsive at the higher temps but never felt dangerous. No sign of wear at all. Dry road grip when accelerating lost traction a bit too easily but cornering was predictable.

The car is a modified 25th Anniversary model and is fitted with SACHS Race Engineering Coil-Over suspension. The cylinder head has been ported and polished with the motor now producing well over 200 ps.

Car had 20&quot; 245/35r20 runflats in front and 275/30r20 runflats (all MOE) for RWD w213 luxury saloon. The car came with these factory fitted MOE runflat tyres. I&#39;ve Replaced these tyres and wheels at 10600km. I&#39;ve driven 8600km of that mileage. The tyres wore like rubber bands on the 20&quot; wheels. Steering as a result is very precise in both wet and dry. Front 245/30s have sound deadening foam and overall tyre noise is quiet in the cabin (but just wee bit louder than the 18&quot; PS4 tyres I replaced them with). Ride comfort is 8/10 on highways due to air suspension. On chip seal, speed humps, potholed roads ride comfort is 5/10 - there is very abrupt jarring transmitted to cabin due to tyre profile and rims. Wet grip in cold (5&#39;C) and damp country highways was 7/10 at 110km/h speeds - there was some slip noticeable. Dry grip was 8/10 most of the time but with occasional rear traction slips at highway speeds in curves. This combination of tyres and rims is quite poor for a luxury sedan and compliant rides.

These tyres perform well, they&#39;re comfortable and they&#39;re quiet, but they&#39;re fragile and wear too quickly. They get punctured and damaged really easily and don&#39;t last as long as I would expect. I&#39;ve had two full sets of these tyres but after yet another puncture I&#39;m sick of constantly having to change them so I&#39;ve had them all replaced with another brand. I won&#39;t buy these again and I don&#39;t recommend them.

Unlike some who write stuff thinking they&#39;re lewis hamilton, im not, but im no miss daisy either. Ive driven it pretty hard at times and whatever has been thrown at these tyres, wet or dry, they have stood up to it. Not a hint of losing it. Exactly what you expect, from mid range premium make tyres.

These are the B-Silent Model and they were 235/55 R19 105Y but this system will not let me specify 55 height. These tyres are absolutely brilliant! I fitted them on the rear and they stopped the road noise from the rear completely. I just wish I had not fitted something different to the front previously, as soon as the fronts wear out I will change to these. I have had no problem with grip, despite racing others around roundabouts.

Excellent in the wet, no hydroplaning or wheeljerk when driving into puddles at speed. This is my second set of this tyre for this reason.
