Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

/
SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.

Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.

Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!

Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.

Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.

Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Tyres optimised for electric vehicles.
Tyre developed for electric vehicles. These tyres can also be used without hesitation on vehicles with other drive systems.

Very satisfied.
07.03.2019 from Umski
Bought these tyres based purely on the price and rating - they were replacing some very long lived Avon ZV5 tyres which are no longer made and have been replaced with a lesser alternative - I had gotten 37k (miles) over 5 years out of those so they were very good value. The Rotallas were half the price of equivalent 'branded' tyres but with a C rating for fuel and B for Wet Grip so on paper they were better. In reality I don't drive hard enough to notice, but grip feels good in the dry going round corners and fine in the wet although I am always a lot more cautious especially if there's standing water at speed to avoid any scary moments! Noise-wise it's nigh-on impossible to tell any difference to be honest! Only done about 2k (miles) so far and tread looks almost like new so hoping they last - also working on the assumption that they may outlive the car! Good value in my opinion :)
12.11.2018 from Denis Alabaster
Softish tyre so good cornering grip in dry, always careful in wet conditions as it is rear wheel drive and there would be tendency to lose the rear end if driven harsh in wet conditions.

16.02.2023 from Alasdair
Fitted to the vehicle already when purchased.. They are an adequate budget tyre for perhaps city driving however they are poor in the wet. Lack any feedback in more active driving and in the wet have poor grip and braking performance with significant understeer in even damp conditions with even slightly 'active' driving. I've removed them off the car half worn and replaced with a premium brand as I'm not comfortable with their performance on mainly wet UK roads.
12.01.2023 from Ian
I bought these tires as a cheaper alternative to a Continental tire, because the grip in wet conditions was rated excellent. That seems to be true. This type of tire is designed for lower rolling resistance and increased fuel economy - often that comes with lower wet grip. Not in this case.
06.12.2022 from Yashwant
Always use this brand and model of tires. Because of its durability, and reliability. Best for me.
05.02.2022 from George "Warrior"
- Pretty good-short-braking and grip. In both wet and dry. Also, very good road feedback. - Comfort, economy, and quite tyres. With pretty good quality and price. - I will buy it again and again, for real. -Highly recommend it for me. Toledo Tyres Ensure Optimal Traction and Responsiveness

Toledo tyres are a tyre brand of tyre Trading International. The manufacturer from China is in the segment of good quality budget tyres with extensive product range, especially in the field of off-road tyres.

Tyres of Toledo brand have the self-cleaning tread pattern with five rows and transverse grooves, which ensure optimal traction and responsiveness. This aggressive design provides perfect grip, in all weather conditions and on all types of terrain, even soft or muddy ones, while the driving remains very silent.

The wholesaler has a range of other tyre brands in addition to the Toledo brand and offers a wide range of different tyre formats. By combining processes that both optimise logistics and reduce costs associated with sales, the supplier realises favourable prices. The tyre brand Toledo appeals to price-conscious motorists with quality awareness. Toledo tyres are available in more than 120 tyre sizes and different tyre dimensions. The tyres are developed in Europe and produced in Asia.

The introduction of the latest tyre technology in Toledo tyres has a positive effect on driving behaviour and enhances driving pleasure. The excellent properties of the tyres are reflected in neutral handling on dry and wet roads.

All in all, the tyres from Toledo are convincing with a balanced concept that is tailored to the European climate. Due to that, Toledo proves that budget tyres are barely different in quality from the tyres of the premium manufacturers. For many motorists with less pronounced brand awareness, the facts and data are more than a sonorous name. With tyres from Toledo, the car driver makes a good choice.

We at Tirendo.co.uk do not have a particular preference for a tyre brand rather than another, but we believe in the principle that a well informed and more aware consumer will make the best choice. Whether you will opt for summer, winter or all-season tyres from Toledo or any other brand is up to you, of course, we are just here to make the decision more comfortable for you according to your budget.
