Purchased a pair of these Mitas E07+ having experienced them on a hired BMW 1250 in Morocco. They are a fabulous 60/40 tyre and are incredible on twisty tarmac roads and off road as long as things don’t get too muddy. Wear rate is good and no punctures were experienced when used on quite varied stone and rocky surfaces. Performance, wear rate and cost make them my go to tyres for my adventure motorcycles.

TRIUMPH Tiger 800 XCX / XCA

These are my second set, and are the first tyres I have tried that I would truly consider equally capable on and off road when paired with my Tiger 800. They offer very little feel on the front end when cornering on the road, but you do get used to it after about 500miles. If you have a tiger and are running the scorpion STIs they are a major improvement in terms of offroad capability but at a the sacrifice of a little bit of on road compliance. But they are definitely capable of holding their own on road too! They are very good at self clearing in wetter mud or snow compared to other tyres I have used just make sure u find some nice corners to round them back off after any prolonged motorway streatches as the tread depth can lead to some very pronounced squaring if not looked after.

I put the tyres to the test by riding through France to the Pyrenese at up to 130 kph on Autoroutes, then off-road on varied surfaces for several hundred km and on asphalt twisties. Very good performance throughout and excellent puncture resistance. Under emergence breaking the rear ABS activated earlier than with softer more road-biased tyres. This is my second set and seems improved on the first.

Riding a '11 R1200GS these 50:50s performed well on green lanes as well as on tarmac. In the wet they were surprisingly grippy and responsive - not what I expected TBH - and that includes during days of torrential rain in the Welsh hills. In mud, well, claggy mud will kill the grip but that's pretty much the same deal for any tyre I've ridden on or used on the 4x4. Recommended. Am moderately skilled rider, by no means good off road and the GS is a big lass and the E07+ did well.
