Comment:
I have just returned (end of September 2012) from a 10 day motorbike trip to Geiranger and Trollstig in Norway. Total distance travelled: 2,300kms. In that time the Tenere (with Pirelli Scorpion Trails) endured three days of heavy rain, two days of riding in light falling snow, some icy patches of road and quite a few instances of (due to extensive road works) having to ride on unmade roads. The Scorpion Trail tyres inspired much confidence when negotiating the demanding mountain roads, hairpin bends and the infamous Trolls Ladder (Trollstig). There were a few instances of the rear tyre breaking away...but it was so gradual and very easy to correct. Comfort levels are much better than any of the more trail-orientated 'semi-knobbly' tyres...but there is a small trade-off in grip when negotiating rougher stretches of road. Wear has been minimal along the tyre's central raised belt. Highly recommended
