I drive mainly for business, but I also have a family. I have used winter tyres many times in the past, as I also drive on the continent where in some regions they are compulsory.
I found that the Nokian tyres gave a higher level of grip, feedback and confidence than I had been expecting. It was nothing dramatic, as dramatic driving doesn't work in icy or snowy conditions, but the level of grip just let you get on with keeping the car going and getting to where you needed to be safely, and with no fuss.
I also found the level of wear to be very little on the tyres when I recently took them off for storage for next year (and the next, and the next). They tyres are quiet and refined in all conditions and I noticed no difference in general fuel consumption.
