All Season Performance Touring Tire

A higher mileage tire with a sense of style.

With its ultra-wear-resistant tread compound, large pattern interior tread blocks, and heat-releasing shoulder design, the DH2 is engineered to go the distance — quietly, stylishly and with a great wet-road grip that keeps you stable in the rain.

The DH2 is a quality all-season performance touring tire that is manufactured with a special tread compound that decreases rolling resistance. It is manufactured in over 60 sizes, so it can serve a full-range of passenger, SUV and crossover vehicles. The DH2 comes complete with a long-life, 40,000 mile limited tire warranty.

Features & Benefits

Asymmetric Pattern Design. Our asymmetric 5-pitch tread pattern is designed to blend the requirements of dry grip and water dispersal, giving the driver a larger contact area and consistent wear for longer tire life. Larger tread ribs/blocks on the outside increase cornering stability while smaller inner blocks aid in dissipating water.

Four-wide longitudinal grooves. The grooves evacuate water and enhance longitudinal traction to prevent lateral slide improving wet driving performance.

Wear-resistant shoulder design. Integrated heat-resisting bars in the shoulder reduce irregular tread wear and dampen wind noise. This highly stable shoulder profile also pays off in great high-speed cornering.

3D Shoulder Grooves. Reduce road noise for a quiet and comfortable ride.

EU Tyre Label and Efficiency Classes

EU Tyre Label and Efficiency Classes

The European Union has introduced the EU Tyre Label by Regulation (No. 1222/2009) identically and bindingly for all EU member states. It applies to passenger car tyres, light commercial vehicle tyres and heavy commercial vehicle tyres produced after 01.07.2012.

Three different areas are tested: rolling resistance, wet grip and the rolling noise the tyre makes on the road.

The following are not affected by the EU Tyre Label: retreaded tyres, professional off-road tyres, racing tyres, tyres with additional devices to improve traction such as spiked tyres, T-type emergency tyres, special tyres for fitting to vehicles first registered before 1 October 1990, tyres with a maximum authorised speed of 80 km/h, tyres for rims with a nominal diameter of 254 mm or less or 635 mm or more.

With this regulation, the European Union is pursuing the goal of promoting economic and ecological efficiency in road traffic as well as increasing road safety on the one hand, and on the other hand, granting consumers more product transparency and at the same time serving as an active decision-making aid.

Already during the incorporation, experts criticise the fact that the EU Tyre Label unfortunately only shows a few product characteristics. Apart from rolling resistance, wet grip and rolling noise, which are the main focus of EU tyre labelling, tyres have much more important and safety-relevant product characteristics, such as aquaplaning properties, driving stability, service life, braking properties on dry and wet roads, behaviour in wintry conditions, etc.

Tyre manufacturers point out that test results from various institutions and journals remain an important information medium for the end consumer. These tests usually focus on further safety-relevant product characteristics besides the EU standard qualifications for tyre labelling, which are always important for the final customer.

I have had these tires for 10 000 km now. Only 3 days after I got them I had to drive in torrential rain on the highway in cold conditions. The tire was amazing. Sure footed, linear and progressive and it gave me a great feeling of safety even when driving through deeper puddles. In dry conditions, the tire is fine, it can tram line a bit on California's horrible concrete roads in and around LA. But when on a tar highway, they become really quiet and comfortable. I usually have an economy minded driving style so I lift and coast alot. This tire is pretty fuel efficient if inflated to the right pressures. Go slightly above what the car manufacturer suggests. When I'm driving enthusiastically, the tire does become noisy and protests quite a bit when pushed to corner hard. In the dry, high acceleration and corner speed is decent. In the wet, hard acceleration is acceptable however the tire lets go at lower wet speeds than others when cornering. Would I buy it again? For the price? Yes.
