The "M + S" (or M & S, MS) marking can currently be found on winter and all season tyres. Besides this marking, a snowflake symbol can be found on some models. The M + S tyres that have the snowflake symbol meet the higher quality standards. Since 2011, winter tyres are mandatory in Ireland. Having a special blend of rubber that resists to low temperatures, these tyres are more adapted to winter conditions than the summer tyres. Therefore, the car will have a good grip even dealing with low temperatures. The optimised profile reduces the risk of hydroplaning and provides a good grip in snowy and icy conditions. 6. Key figure for the permissible maximum speed (speed index)
7. Motorcycle tire identification, tires only approved for motorcycles
8. DOT labeling
9. Date of manufacture of the tire (week of production / year of production)

Speed Rating

SPEED INDEX:

The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.

Was ok for a month or so and then started slowly leak air around rim. Removed it and fitted other brand tyre

Great winter tyre for my daily commute. Excellent grip in the snow (live in Buxton,England )A inexpensive tyre but excellent performance only downside is they wear quickly, but you can't have everything.

Such a huge improvement from my old duro rear tyre. It has vastly improved my cornering in all weather, feels amazingly stable and very affordable. My only issue was that it is suppost to be tubeless but myself nor the garage could get it to hold air without a tube. Ethier way I would recomend.
