What tyre size do you require?
The exact size of a tyre can be found on its sidewall.
The following chart shows you how to read a tyre size.
1. Overall tire width in mm
2. Ratio of tire height to tire width in%
3. Tire design: ''R'' = radial tires (widely used), ''D'' or ''-'' = diagonal tires (rare)
4. Required rim diameter for this tire in inches
5. Key figure for tire load capacity
6. Key figure for the permissible maximum speed (speed index)
7. Motorcycle tire identification, tires only approved for motorcycles
8. DOT labeling
9. Date of manufacture of the tire (week of production / year of production)

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.

A good all round tyre, bearing in mind it&rsquo;s fitted to a low powered bike 65hp. Used enthusiastically mainly on tight twisty tarmaced single lane roads with a lot of braking, cornering and acceleration. Front almost worn out after 5k miles rear lasted 2.5k miles. The tyre looks good on this type of bike and works ok off road on reasonably hard dry tracks, not great on mud though. I prefer these tyres to metzeller Torrance tyres and will/have bought again.

Front not stable at speed due to very narrow profile. Good miles:cost ratio tyre.

This is an update of my prev. report of 09/11/2010: finished after 10000km, was very good, ordered the same one for rear.

Excellent in dry conditions, on asphalt also on minimally maintained side-roads(gravel and so on). But on wet asphalt is a little bit skiddy, especially when braking. This was not about panic braking! It gave me shivers a few times. Price/Performance very good.
