These are a thoroughly dependable tyre and the Expert 2 (and the later Expert 3) are superb tyres. In addition to the stated vehicle I have a set on my wife's 2014 Audi A3 and our 'spare car' a 2009 Fiat Panda 4x4. They are all on all year round and have acceptable wear even in hot summers
06.02.2026fromJim Hutchinson
What makes these tyres stand out is their performance on very wet roads or standing water.
27.02.2025fromMichael Payne
I am a careful driver. Mostly urban with some motorway driving. The tyres I chose are all season. Whilst I live in Edinburgh City, when snow falls I need to drive 800m and up 2 hills in order to get to a road that is kept clear and often there are cars and a bus strewn across the road. Amazing but true. These tyres have allowed me to bypass these cars and proceed to the swept roadway. 2 times this winter. Scarcely believable that people don't know how to drive in the snow. They are sure footed in frost too.
22.01.2025fromMr Neil Richard Parnham
We have owned this car for almost 11 years now and the last 9 years have been on firstly Uniroyal MS+77 205/55 R16 91H and then for the last 3 years on AllSeason Expert 2 which is a vastly improved tyre. The latter is so much quieter and returns improved fuel consumption and I believe better grip in wintry conditions

Happy with these tyres. They have lasted long but now need replacing. Mid-price, reliable, would buy again.

23.09.2015fromMike
Excellent all-round tyre except for tyre wear. Comparable to Michelin in performance, but it won't last nearly as long, so unless you are worried about punctures, might be worth buying Michelin.
12.09.2015fromPeter Webb
An excellent tyre for the price. No problems in any conditions

Been pleased with these Nexen tyres, perform well in snow and ice here in Scotland.
11.04.2022fromKS
Fuel economy and comfort seem fine, grip on wet roads is pretty terrible, wheelspin going uphill and lift-off oversteer are something I’ve never experienced in this car in 200km of ownership until I fitted these tyres. Will be going back to Blizzaks for winter.
29.04.2020fromMark
We purchased these tyres for use in the ski season in the alps. They were excellent, the car gripped and stopped well. I never had to use snow chains. I would buy them again but I have no points of reference as to how they compare against other tyres.
10.05.2019fromMatt Henson
I was surprised how good these tyres are, winter tyres are never supreme performers in the wet and when they let go, you do notice! Tread ware is awesome, they are lasting a lot longer than summer tyres (perhaps because you can't push them as hard and a standard D5 can dump too much power on the front wheels) They are quiet but essentially they work well on snow and ice. Great tyres , good all round grip, as I live in Scotland the seasons change every 5mins, with plenty of rain & the odd bit of snow , I do some off road driving and never got the car stuck, I do run this type of tyre all year round , but as the car is quite light I always change my tyres when they get down to 3mm , I think this is far safer ,
01.04.2024fromRobert
The tyres perform unbelievably well. Braking and grip in the wet is just phenomenal. Outstanding performance. Superb and consistent grip in heavy persistent rain along French motorway to the UK, long and short journeys.
16.05.2023fromRacer 1974
I went for the BMW approved (star marked) Blizzak and I’m very happy with the tyres. I’ve had Conti Winter Contact on previous cars and in regular use I would say the Blizzak is very comparable. The car retains decent steering feel and traction on wet and dry roads plus offers a far greater level of grip on snow/slush over a regular tyre. Ride comfort seems pretty much unchanged, as always with winters there is a little more noise but it’s slight and after 5 minutes you don’t notice! Fuel consumption does increase very slightly over the summer tyres BUT that could be down to the cold weather as much as the tyres!
11.05.2023fromSam Summers
I bought these so that I wouldn't have any mishaps during the winter in my beloved car. I was worried that it would be a nightmare to drive in the snow due to being rear wheel drive and its power. I put these tyres on the front and different winter tyres on the rear and never had any problems at all - very surprised and impressed!

Excellent driving experience on these tyres. They feel safe, sturdy and solid on the road in heat, heavy rain, slippery roads due to mud, country roads, uneven and good surfaces, I have not yet tried in snow or ice. To any walkers reading this, they feel like vibram soles for my car!

tyres only have well below normal 6.5mm tread from new and mine were worn down to 4.1 mm tread after 400 miles plus one developed a bulge. Worst tyres ever only have perhaps 1 years life

These tyres are good for grip and average for comfort, but let down on noise levels.

So far so good, no snow to test so far, but in wet good... And in dry good,... Not sure of the wear yet but I've noticed fuel consumption is very economical and the tyres are very very quiet, not as loud as the old rumbling Bridgestones, £ 50 x 4 tyres kwik fit 👌👍

Maxxis Tyres - High Level of Safety, Durability and Manoeuvrability

Maxxis tyre can withstand and overcome all obstacles and ultimately look like new, consumers say. The lifetime of these tyres is the pride of the manufacturer that heavily relies on the creativity of its engineers in the design of its tyres. Maxxis is a brand owned by the Taiwanese Cheng Shin Ind. Co. Ltd, founded in 1967. Today it is one of the leaders in the market of high-performance tyres, with branches and distribution centres in 170 countries.

To ensure that the manufactured tyres are of high quality, Maxxis first works out its prototypes using a technology called VIP (Virtual Intelligence Prototype). The international popularity of the brand is above all based on the fact that Maxxis is the official sponsor of the Enduro world championship.

The tyre factory produces tyres of all types from the rim of 3 inches up to 22.5, ranging from mowers to TIRs, from wheelchairs to mechanical shovels. There is no other manufacturer in the world with such a wide range of tyres.

The Maxxis brand (in Europe certainly better known than Cheng Shin) is particularly known and appreciated for car tyres, van, 4 × 4, two-wheelers and ATVs. It supplies original equipment to major car manufacturers, including Peugeot, Ford, Mercedes, Toyota, General Motor, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Hyundai and Volkswagen. Its tyres boast the latest technological solutions which give a very high level of safety, durability and manoeuvrability.

The advanced technological content and high-performance are the result of a diligent and careful work of the five research and development laboratories present in Europe, Asia and the United States. At Maxxis, design and research are taken very seriously, even before the prototype is created. The revolutionary VIP Technology can do virtual tests and determine what will be the future behaviour of the tyre during cornering, acceleration, braking and the effects of deformation and wear.

Equip your four-wheeler with Maxxis tyres, cheap car tyres from Tirendo.co.uk. Benefit from our extensive offer of this renowned Taiwanese brand and order today. Whether you are in the market for winter, summer or all-season tyres – Maxxis has them all in its range.
